Momme measures silk density — the higher the number, the more durable and substantial the drape. At 19 momme, ours holds its form without stiffness. Grade 6A is the top classification: long, continuous filaments, minimal breakage, consistent luster. It's the standard heritage textile houses use. It's what we require.
Silk is a protein fiber — closer to human skin than anything synthetic. That means:
- Thermoregulating — cools you when warm, insulates when cool
- pH-neutral — compatible with skin's natural barrier
- Hypoallergenic — resists dust mites, mold, common allergens
- Moisture-wicking — balances skin instead of trapping heat against it
Polyester copies the shine. It can't copy the biology.

Non-stretch Lace
The one deliberate exception to our natural-fiber standard. nylon, non-stretch, panel-constructed — no elastane, no spandex. The structure holds the shape, not your body. Used only where it belongs: at the edge, for definition — never at a sustained skin-contact point.
Egyptian Cotton
Grown along the Nile Delta, where a long growing season produces an unusually long fiber — fewer breaks, smoother cloth. It's been the global benchmark for over a century.
