From the Founder
Some traditions only reveal their weight years later.
Mine started with my mother. Before every season, she'd have pajamas cut and sewn to fit each of us exactly. I didn't understand yet why that mattered. I just knew it did.
I still have that drawer. As I got older, it made space for lingerie too. Every House of Saint Joy piece lives there now.
Lingerie became a language for me before I had words for what it meant — how I say things to my partner I don't say out loud. It's how I learned that what sits closest to the body carries something the rest of the world never sees, and that this, too, deserves to be made well.
House of Saint Joy started as the thing I needed most: permission to rest, dressed in something that actually honors the body doing the resting. Natural fibers. Real construction. Nothing performed.
